The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has strongly rejected Pakistan's allegations implicating India in the recent terrorist attack on the Sindh Rangers in Karachi. Terming the accusations completely baseless, India urged Islamabad to shift its focus toward dismantling terrorist safe havens operating within its own borders.
Reacting to the statements emanating from Pakistan, MEA Official Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal categorically dismissed the claims. He stated that India has consistently witnessed Pakistan leveling such unsubstantiated allegations following the terror strike in Karachi on Saturday, and India rejects them outright.
Jaiswal further emphasized that instead of pointing fingers at others, Pakistan needs to take credible, verifiable action against the terrorist infrastructure functioning on its soil. He added that Islamabad must abandon its long-standing approach of using terrorism as an instrument of state policy.
According to Pakistani officials, the terror attack took place on Saturday evening at the Bhittai Wing Headquarters of the Sindh Rangers, located in the Gulistan-e-Jauhar area of Karachi. The attackers reportedly rammed a vehicle into the main gate to gain entry into the premises and hurled hand grenades, triggering multiple explosions. In the ensuing gunbattle, security forces neutralized six terrorists and captured one alive, while four security personnel lost their lives in the line of duty.
