The iconic creative partnership of veteran director Nagathihalli Chandrashekhar and acclaimed music composer Mano Murthy holds a cherished place in the hearts of Kannada cinema lovers. Over the years, their collaborative synergy has delivered timeless melodies and unforgettable soundtracks in classic films such as America America, Nanna Preethiya Hudugi, Amruthadhare, and Mataad Mataad Mallige. Now, the duo is reuniting to revive that magic with the upcoming feature America America 2.
To commemorate their long-standing artistic bond and friendship, the duo announced a special initiative on Friendship Day, August 2. Marking this creative partnership, the complete original songs and background score for America America 2 will be officially released on the Mano Murthy Music YouTube channel. The announcement stands as a tribute to their enduring camaraderie and shared contribution to Sandalwood's musical landscape.
While America America 2 shares the title of Nagathihalli Chandrashekhar's iconic 1997 romance, the filmmaker has clarified that it is a standalone story rather than a direct narrative sequel. Inspired by Sahana Vijaykumar’s novel, the film features a dynamic lead cast starring Nirup Bhandari, Shanvi Srivastava, and Pruthvi Ambaar in pivotal roles. With Mano Murthy crafting the songs and Nakul Abhyankar handling the background score, the album promises to deliver the same melodic soulfulness that fans have cherished from this legendary collaboration for decades.
