Nation First Principle Fueling India’s Transformation Into Global Power, Says PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has stated that the core principle of "Nation First" serves as the primary driving force behind India’s evolution into a fast-growing, credible, and reliable global power. Speaking at a summit hosted by a private media house in New Delhi, the Prime Minister explained that the country’s significant achievements over the past decade are deeply rooted in trust, stability, and a firm commitment to the larger global good. Reflecting on his recent participation in the G7 Summit, he noted that world leaders clearly recognize India’s unwavering dedication to prioritizing national interests, a philosophy that continuously shapes the nation's policy decisions and developmental agenda.

Reflecting on the government's twelve years in office, Prime Minister Modi highlighted that major initiatives like Swachh Bharat, Make in India, the promotion of khadi, and local product support achieved success precisely because citizens embraced a shared spirit of nation-building. He pointed out that nearly 25 crore people have successfully lifted themselves out of poverty in recent years, triggering the emergence of a vast neo-middle class that has significantly boosted domestic economic activity. Empowering both the poor and middle class remains a top priority for the government, driven by affordable housing initiatives, strategic tax reforms, comprehensive healthcare schemes, and modernized urban infrastructure.

The Prime Minister further detailed how targeted projects like the SWAMIH Fund have enabled the completion of thousands of previously stalled housing units, while advancements in digital governance and simplified tax administration have reduced compliance burdens and heightened overall transparency. India’s rapidly expanding infrastructure network now features metro systems serving over one crore passengers daily, alongside highly efficient Vande Bharat, Namo Bharat, and Amrit Bharat trains. This, combined with vastly expanded highways and airports, has transformed national connectivity. Additionally, the availability of affordable medicines through Jan Aushadhi Kendras and the expansion of healthcare coverage for senior citizens have successfully lowered out-of-pocket medical expenses for millions of families.

Concluding his address, Prime Minister Modi emphasized that India is entering a period of unprecedented opportunity despite ongoing global disruptions. He called upon the nation's youth, entrepreneurs, innovators, and startups to actively seize these emerging opportunities and contribute to the country's growth. Expressing immense confidence in the future, he affirmed that the collective efforts of 140 crore Indians will ultimately realize the vision of a developed India, or Viksit Bharat, in the years ahead.
