An intense protest erupted against MLA Pradeep Eshwar in Chikkaballapur during the Kempegowda Jayanti celebrations held at the local Kannada Bhavana. Members of the Vokkaliga community and Janata Dal (Secular) leaders expressed strong resentment against the legislator, raising slogans demanding his immediate exit from the event.
The tension escalated when police personnel stopped community youth at the main entrance. In response, angry protestors broke open the gate locks to force their way inside the venue. Once inside, the crowd chanted "Go Back Pradeep Eshwar" and raised derogatory slogans against him.
The protestors demanded that the MLA must issue a formal apology to Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy and leave the program immediately.
As the situation grew tense, Deputy Commissioner Prabhu appealed to the gathering to maintain order and refrain from taking the law into their own hands. Seeking to pacify the crowd, Sri Mangalanatha Swamiji arrived on the stage and reminded the attendees of their heritage, urging them to remain calm while a solution was discussed with community leaders. Following the seer's intervention, community leaders managed to quieten the angry youth, emphasizing the need to show respect to the Swamiji.
