The wait is finally over for cinephiles across the country. The official trailer release date for Nitesh Tiwari’s highly anticipated cinematic epic, Ramayana, has been locked. The makers have officially announced that the trailer will be launched worldwide on July 24.
Featuring Bollywood superstar Ranbir Kapoor, Rocking Star Yash, and South India’s powerhouse performer Sai Pallavi in lead roles, the film has generated massive curiosity nationwide. The production team shared a post confirming that the trailer will debut simultaneously across the globe on July 24.
Earlier, on April 2, the team had released a teaser that offered a glimpse into the grand visual spectacle. While that teaser introduced Ranbir Kapoor in the look of Maryada Purushottam Lord Ram, it kept the core plot under wraps. The upcoming trailer is expected to showcase the primary characters and offer a deeper look at how beautifully this timeless epic has been translated onto the silver screen.
A Stellar Pan-India Cast
Based on India's ancient epic, the film boasts an ensemble star cast. Ranbir Kapoor portrays Lord Ram, while Sai Pallavi steps into the role of Goddess Sita. Rocking Star Yash will be seen as the formidable demon king Ravana. Additionally, Sunny Deol plays Hanuman and Ravi Dubey portrays Lakshmana. The makers have leveraged state-of-the-art VFX and graphics to bring this legendary story to life while strictly preserving the core emotional and cultural essence of the original epic.
A Two-Part Cinematic Event
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana is being co-produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios, the Oscar-winning VFX powerhouse DNEG, and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations.
The magnum opus is planned as a two-part cinematic event designed specifically for a grand IMAX release worldwide. The first part is scheduled to hit theaters during Diwali 2026, followed by the concluding second part during Diwali 2027.
