Vaidya unveiled the official logo and promotional video for Karavali Utsava-2025 at Gokarna on Friday, signaling the revival of the district's biggest cultural extravaganza after eight years.
Hailed as Uttara Kannada's largest festival, the week-long event will be celebrated with pomp from December 22 to 28 at the iconic Mayur Varma Stage on Ravindranath Tagore Beach in Karwar. "We are determined to make this a spectacular affair, drawing crowds from across Karnataka and beyond," Minister Vaidya said while addressing the gathering. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will inaugurate the festival, with Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar and several other ministers expected to participate.
Vaidya urged media, local organizations, MLAs, MPs, and the public to extend full support for a flawless execution. Multiple committees have been formed to handle logistics, ensuring no lapses in the grand celebrations. Expect large crowds, with enhanced arrangements for security and participation.

Renowned artists from the state and other regions will deliver captivating performances, promising a vibrant showcase of coastal culture, music, and traditions. The government has allocated Rs 5 crore for the organization, with total estimated costs at Rs 10 crore. Officials noted that the event builds on successful precedents set by former Lokayukta and MLA R.V. Deshpande. Preparations have been underway for the past month, with Chief Minister's approval secured. De4puty Commissioner K. Lakshmipriya, Zilla Panchayat CEO Dr. Dilesh Shashi, SP Deepan M.N., Guarantee Implementation Authority Chairman Satish P. Nayak, Tahsildar Shrikant Kamatkar, and others were present.
