Karwar, Karnataka: A head-on collision between a motorcycle and a scooter on National Highway–66 at Amadalli village in Karwar taluk left a scooter rider seriously injured on Tuesday.
According to police, the incident occurred when Sachin Talekar (38) was riding his scooter from Aversa towards Amadalli. At the same time, a motorcycle travelling from Amadalli towards Mudaga reportedly came onto his path, resulting in a violent collision between the two vehicles.
The impact left both riders injured. Local residents rushed to the spot and provided first aid before emergency services arrived. Sachin Talekar, who sustained serious injuries, was shifted by ambulance to the Karwar District Hospital for advanced treatment.
The accident took place within the jurisdiction of the Karwar Rural Police Station. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the collision.
