Gokarna: Two tourists narrowly escaped danger after being caught in powerful sea waves at Kudle Beach in Gokarna on Tuesday evening. Swift and courageous action by lifeguards saved their lives in a dramatic rescue operation.
Nagesh Subrahmanya (30) and Ganesh Krishnappa (32), both from Bengaluru, were enjoying a swim when they were overwhelmed by the ferocious waves. Lifeguards Nagendra Kurle and Manjunath Harikanth, undeterred by the raging sea, plunged into the water and successfully brought the duo to safety.
The rescue effort was supported by Shekhar Harikanth, a friend of the tourists, who actively assisted the lifeguards.
The group of nine tourists from Bengaluru had been visiting Gokarna when the incident occurred, briefly creating a tense atmosphere on the beach. Thanks to the bravery and quick thinking of the lifeguards, two lives were saved, earning widespread praise for their heroic efforts.
