Joida (Karnataka) In a swift and coordinated police operation, two young students abducted from Kamalapur School in Dharwad were rescued near Joida in Uttara Kannada district.
According to officials, the accused lured the children during their lunchtime break and took them away on a motorcycle. While fleeing with the minors, the kidnapper met with an accident near Joida. Fortunately, the children escaped with only minor injuries and were saved from any life-threatening harm.
The abduction was captured on the school’s CCTV cameras, which provided crucial evidence for the investigation. Acting on this footage, Uttara Kannada police launched an immediate search operation. Their prompt action led to the successful arrest of the accused and the safe recovery of the children.
Authorities have confirmed that the children are now safe and receiving medical attention for their minor injuries. The incident has raised concerns about school security and vigilance, prompting calls for stricter safety measures in educational institutions.
