Karwar, July 23:The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) district unit organized a protest in Karwar on Thursday, alleging that the Congress and other opposition parties are using the NEET issue as a pretext to create instability and unrest across the country.
The demonstration witnessed the participation of several BJP leaders and workers, including Kumta MLA Dinakar Shetty, who joined party members in raising slogans against the Congress. Protesters accused the opposition of politicizing student concerns and attempting to derive political mileage from the ongoing controversy surrounding the national-level medical entrance examination.
Addressing the gathering, BJP leaders claimed that opposition parties were misleading students and the public by portraying the issue in a manner aimed at creating confusion and tension. They alleged that rather than contributing to constructive solutions, political opponents were trying to disrupt peace and public confidence.
The BJP leaders further asserted that the protests being carried out in the name of students had crossed acceptable political boundaries and were being used to spread negativity and unrest. The demonstration concluded with party workers reiterating their support for measures aimed at ensuring transparency and fairness in the examination system.
