Karwar: With the aim of spreading the message of environmental conservation across India, young cyclist and eco-activist Lala Krishna reached Karwar on Wednesday evening.
Having set off on his bicycle from Nepal six months ago to promote the importance of an eco-friendly lifestyle, Lala Krishna has already pedaled more than 8,000 kilometres. After crossing the states of Bihar, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Goa, he has now entered Karnataka through Karwar.
Currently staying at Tagore Beach in Karwar, he is actively engaging with tourists, encouraging them to plant trees, protect greenery, and raise awareness about the environment. Throughout his journey, he has been conducting environmental awareness programs at schools, colleges, and major tourist destin
In the coming days, he plans to cycle through Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh before returning to Bihar, where he will complete his pan-India journey.
This unique expedition undertaken by a young man for the cause of environmental protection has earned widespread appreciation from locals and tourists alike in Karwar.
