Honnavar: A Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus travelling from Badami to Dharmasthala overturned late last night near Soolemurki Cross in Honnavar taluk, triggering panic among local residents.
As a result of the accident, around 29 passengers sustained injuries. All the injured were immediately rushed to Honnavar Government Hospital, where they are receiving treatment. Hospital sources said some passengers suffered minor injuries, while others sustained moderate injuries.
Honnavar police rushed to the spot, inspected the scene, and registered a case at Honnavar Police Station. An investigation is underway to ascertain the exact cause of the accident.
