Karwar: When the government failed to respond to the public's demand, Roopali S. Naik, BJP State Vice-President and former MLA of Karwar-Ankola Assembly Constituency, stepped in to support the cause. She personally funded and initiated the construction of a crematorium in the Avarsa and Harwada Gram Panchayat areas.
Speaking on the occasion, Roopali S. Naik said, "The demand for a crematorium in this region has been a long-standing request from the public. However, the government neither responded to this demand nor made any arrangements. As soon as this came to my attention, I resolved to personally fund and undertake the construction work. I have now initiated the project, and it will be completed soon to fulfill the long-standing demand of the people."
Present at the event were Sanjay Naik, former President of BJP Ankola Mandal; Sridhar Naik, Secretary; Nilesh Naik, President of Yuva Morcha; Manjunath Thakekar, former President of Harawada Gram Panchayat; Shakti Kendra Presidents Mithun Naik, Shiva Naik, Mahadev Talekar, Rajesh Eera Naik, Shantesh Naik, along with party workers and villagers.
