Ankola (Karnataka): In the quiet village of Harawada in Uttara Kannada's Ankola taluk, frustration over unreliable bus services has boiled over. Local students took to the streets near their Gram Panchayat office to protest, highlighting how these transport woes are derailing their education.
The main gripe? Buses just aren't showing up on time, making it impossible for kids to get to college without being late. And when a bus does finally roll in, it's not uncommon for it to sputter and break down halfway, leaving everyone stranded. "We're dealing with constant headaches because of this," the students shared during the demonstration, pointing out how these breakdowns are turning what should be a simple commute into a nightmare.
This isn't just about inconvenience—it's hitting their studies hard. With classes starting without them and missed lectures piling up, the group is calling on officials to step up. They urged the authorities to fix the schedules and ensure buses are in better shape, demanding quick action to keep their education on track.
