ANKOLA, July 27: Panic gripped a family in Marugadde village of Ankola taluk after a massive 12-foot King Cobra was spotted near the residence of Ganapa Ramagowda.
The family immediately alerted snake rescuer Mahesh Nayak, who arrived at the location along with his son, Gagan Nayak. The venomous snake had taken shelter inside a pile of firewood, making the rescue operation both delicate and challenging.
Using safe rescue techniques, the duo successfully captured the King Cobra without causing harm to the snake or the residents. The rescued reptile was later handed over to the Forest Department and released into a nearby forest sanctuary in accordance with wildlife conservation guidelines.
The rescue operation was carried out with the support of Harishchandra Nayak, Abhishek Shetty, Tulsidas Nayak, and the family members. Local residents appreciated the rescuers for their prompt response and professional handling of the situation.
