On Monday, fishing vessels from the district’s key harbors—including Karwar, Belekeri, and Mudaga—returned overflowing with sardines, creating an electric, festival-like atmosphere. Cheers echoed through the ports as families, traders, and locals gathered to witness the triumphant return of the season’s first major catch.
