Karwar – Despite looming rain clouds, Karwar marked Kannada Rajyotsava with immense enthusiasm, joy, and patriotic fervor in a spectacular celebration.
The main event took place at the Police Parade Ground in the city, where District In-Charge Minister Mankal Vaidya hoisted the Rajyotsava flag, paying tribute to the pride and glory of Kannada land.
Following the flag hoisting, an impressive parade showcased the talents of students, various government departments, and cultural troupes. Minister Vaidya received the guard of honor during the procession.
The program commenced with a vibrant Kannadamba procession, setting a festive tone. Traditional folk dances including Suggi Kunita, Dollu Kunita, and other indigenous performances captivated the audience. Tableaux highlighting Karnataka’s rich culture, history, and achievements added visual splendor to the event.
