Bhatkal / Karwar: The decennial celebration of the 2015 batch officers of the Uttara Kannada District Police was held in grand style at Silver Sand Beach Resort, Bada, Kumta.
Organised to share the joy of completing ten years in service, the event witnessed enthusiastic participation from district-level police officers, staff, and their family members in large numbers.
Inaugurating the programme, Superintendent of Police Deepan M.N. addressed the gathering and said, “Police duty is filled with responsibility and challenges. Alongside duty, it is essential to safeguard health, family, and human values. Let the spirit of cooperation within the batch, respect for the guidance of seniors, and the bond of brotherhood continue to flourish.”
Chief guest, Assistant Superintendent of Police (Kumta Subdivision) Shravan Kumar, spoke on the occasion and remarked, “Service in the police force is a matter of pride. Amid the pressures of duty, such cultural and reunion programmes infuse fresh energy and morale. Celebrating ten years of service as a team is a true symbol of dedication to duty.”
Among the dignitaries present were DySP Bhatkal Mahesh K.M., CPI Gokarna, Kumta In-Charge Officer Shridhar S.R., along with several officers from across the state, zone, and district.
A highlight of the event was the official launch of the Uttara Kannada 2015 Batch YouTube channel. The platform, which will feature real-life experiences of police life, challenges faced on duty, and inspiring incidents, is expected to serve as a valuable medium for sharing service experiences.
During the programme, officers transferred to other districts and batch members who had moved to different professions were felicitated.
The celebrations continued with sports competitions, music, dance, and entertainment programmes in which all staff members, along with their families, actively participated, adding greater colour to the festivities.
Nearly 180 officers and personnel from the 2015 batch across the district attended the event.
The organisers announced that in the coming days, more community-oriented activities and service-based programmes will be undertaken.
This decennial celebration, jointly organised by the 2015 batch members, emerged as a true symbol of camaraderie, unity, and unwavering commitment to service among police personnel.
