Karwar: In a heartbreaking turn of events, Yallalinga Kunnuru, the Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) at Mundgod Police Station, has passed away. He was undergoing treatment in Bengaluru, but sadly, it didn't work out, and he breathed his last on Tuesday.
At just 33 years old, Yallalinga had been battling health issues for the past few days. He was admitted to a private hospital in Bengaluru in hopes of recovery, but despite the efforts, he couldn't pull through. Throughout his career, Yallalinga served with dedication in several stations, including Yallapur, Haliyal, Dandeli, and most recently Mundgod. He was the kind of officer who truly cared about the people he served—always disciplined, committed to his duties, and treating everyone who walked into the station with genuine respect.
To those on the wrong side of the law, he was a force to be reckoned with: an incredibly honest and efficient cop who earned a reputation for standing firm against wrongdoing. His approach made him a standout in the department. News of his untimely death has left many in shock. Senior police officials, his colleagues, and several prominent figures have expressed their deep condolences, sharing how much he'll be missed. Yallalinga leaves behind a loving family—his wife, son, parents, and a wide circle of relatives and friends. His passing is not just a huge blow to the police force but to the entire community he served so selflessly. It's a loss that will be hard to fill.
